Hi! I'm Jordanne Machiela—though most people call me Jo.

While building my own event business, I also serve as the Events Manager at the Boise Metro Chamber. I’ve been in that role since May 2024, and before that, I gained hands-on experience as a Supervisor in Event Operations at the Boise Centre, Idaho’s largest convention center.

I graduated from Washington State University in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, concentrating in Psychology, Administrative Studies, and Communications, along with a minor in Hospitality Business Management — the spark that deepened my passion for creating meaningful, memorable events. Through Plan with Jo, I specialize in event management and design, bringing creativity, organization, and heart to every celebration. Whether it’s an intimate gathering or a large-scale wedding, I strive to curate events that feel personal, polished, and unforgettable.

What fulfills me most is creating spaces where people can gather, connect, and celebrate life together — moments that remind us of purpose, joy, and community. I see each event as an opportunity to serve others with excellence and grace, using my gifts to help bring people closer in love and celebration.

My Long-Term Goal

There was one day I was sitting and chatting with my grandpa when he shared something that truly stuck with me — the importance of setting 1-year, 5-year, 10-year, and 20-year goals for your life and career. After that conversation, I sat down and wrote mine out. It was the first time I had a clear vision for where I wanted to go.

Every step I’ve taken since has been intentional — guided by prayer, hard work, and a sense of calling — all leading toward my 20-year goal: designing and owning a wedding and event venue.

For me, this dream isn’t just about a business. It’s about creating a space where love, joy, and community can flourish, where people feel seen, celebrated, and deeply connected. A place where beauty meets purpose — and where every moment feels touched by something greater.
